We built the Summit Lodge as somewhere we would want to stay if we were visiting! Guests are provided with privacy and their own space but have their hosts available for as much or as little interaction as the guests want.
We both have corporate backgrounds and have traveled extensively. Jim plays golf whenever he can whilst I am a keen photographer and run another small business as a life coach/hypnotherapist. We both share a passion for cooking and good wine and love entertaining. Dinner with us is informal and relaxed.
As a response to Coronavirus, whilst dinners will still be available we will be offering guests the option of being served in the guest lounge if they prefer as against the shared kitchen/dining room. Guests, can, also opt to eat out. Complimentary transport is often available to and from the local Gladstone Inn.
Also residing at the Summit Lodge are a number of friendly cats - Lhotse and Gimli the fluffy Birmans, Cino and Monte the Burmese, free range chickens, a herd of very curious alpacas who love being hand-fed by guests and the very sociable chocolate Labrador dog, Dexter.
